Since joining Koffels in 2006, Genie has developed her experience in various areas of Commercial Law, from client interviews to negotiations, and Litigation matters both large and small.
She is experienced in corporate set up and provides advice for businesses, companies and non-profit organisations including sporting entities, in relation to tax, compliance and structure. She advises international clients on commercial transactions in Australia.
She advises and drafts contracts, deeds, and agreements for commercial transactions such as sale and purchase of business, shareholders agreements, franchise agreements, employment contracts, deeds between entities, trust deeds, etc.
In the area of Migration Law Genie assists business clients in sponsoring workers, and individuals in obtaining various Australian visas to study, live or work in Australia both temporarily and permanently.
Genie is also a strong member of our litigation team providing support in the drafting of Court documents and compliance.
Prior to coming to Koffels Genie completed a year in Japan on exchange, teaching English to students at her host university and working in the field with youth leadership. She has a combined Law/International Studies degree and is fluent in both Korean and Japanese.
